tldr; Sound is the number 1 platform for Music NFTs. It has a direct integration for creating new NFTs inside of Bonfire as well as the ability to import a Sound contract into Bonfire.
Sound is the leading music NFT protocol and platform. It features fan profiles and the ability for NFT holders to comment on the song. Sound NFTs show up everywhere that music NFTs show up, this gives your music the best chance at being heard.
What you will need
A wallet with a small amount of gas in it
Gas token for the network you want to mint on (ETH on Ethereum or Optimism)
Assets: Cover artwork(s) and wav or mp3 music file

Caveat: While Sound has a direct integration on Bonfire it is only for Ethereum Mainnet. Creating the contract on Sound and importing it into Bonfire enables you to use Optimism.

Token Pre-Sale Requirement and Rewards:
Below you will find recommendations for pre-sale list access. Depending on how exclusive you want the NFT to be is where you will set the level for pre-sale access. Considering the size of the collection and how much you want to incentivize a drop, pick a reward.
For example; a drop with 50 max supply, we can offer a presale to our top 50% of holders by whitelisting their addresses. To incentivize this drop, we’ll airdrop 5,000 tokens to each of our collectors.

L or XL sized rewards make the most sense as starting points to boost a drop. Airdrop rewards within 24 hours of ending the drop. You are responsible for delivering rewards.
Pull your pre-sale list easily from your P00LS dashboard by filtering for all holders with more than 100 tokens.
Additionally, import your NFT contract into P00LS to easily filter the buyers and create your airdrop.
Pricing Recommendations:
Optimism has near zero gas fees for the collector and they can use a credit card. There is also an option to have a wallet created. So while the less copies, the more rare, the higher the price, the more exclusive; and the more copies, less rare, lower price, more people; your music should be somewhat accessible. Therefore, $2-$5 is very reasonable, especially for the “Forever Editions”. Of course if you are making something for collectors and rarer or are using this to raise money, you can use a higher price.

You will be paid in Ethereum on the chain you have picked, your collectors paying with a credit card will deal in terms of dollars and pay with dollars using their regular credit or debit card.
Drop Setup on Sound
Here’s everything you’ll need to upload:

[ ] 🖼️ Release cover (jpg/png/gif; recommended 800x800px; max size of 100mb)
[ ] ⌛ Forever Edition cover (optional - jpg/png/gif; recommended 800x800px; max size of 100mb)
[ ] 🥚 Golden Egg cover (jpg/png/gif; recommended 800x800px; max size of 100mb)
[ ] 📔 Behind The Music description (prepare a description of your song to share with listeners and collectors)
[ ] 🎁 Rewards for collectors (optional-you can do an airdrop from the P00LS app)
[ ] 🔗 Wallet addresses of any collaborators on your release (optional)
[ ] 💵 ETH (0.02 ETH if uploading to Ethereum Mainnet, or 0.003 ETH if uploading to Optimism)
Once you have that prepared, sign into Sound.xyz and tap on "Upload" at the top right of the page.
*Golden Egg artwork is something unique to make it stand out. Cover in a different color or something creative.
Step 1: Song info
Input all of the details about your song (wav file, cover images, title, genre, description)
Select whether you want to include Forever Editions.
Optionally add metadata for your song, which will only show on the smart contract that's deployed when you publish.
Add any rewards that you want to grant to anyone who collects your song – or specify if a reward is only for the Golden Egg winner.
Step 2: Credits & Splits
⚠️ Earnings sent to the wrong wallet address cannot be recovered. Double check your wallet address are correct. Address must belong to a wallet and not an exchange.
If there are no other collaborators on your song, hit Save & Continue to progress to the next step.
If you do, input the wallet addresses of any collaborators, select their role, and specify their ownership percentage.
All earnings from your song will be automatically distributed to your collaborators, and they can withdraw by signing in to Sound with the wallet that you added.

Step 3: Drop Configuration
⚠️ Once you publish your release, you will not be able to edit the drop type.
Select your Drop Type: Open Edition or Fixed Edition. Learn more about the different Drop Types here.
Specify the details of your drop (start time, end time, supply, etc)
Optionally include a presale, where you can reward your fans and existing collectors with early access and/or special pricing. You can learn more about presales and allowlists here.
Step 4: Review & Publish
Verify the details of your release. After you publish, any changes will require a blockchain transaction, which will incur a gas fee.To deploy, you'll need to sign a transaction to deploy the smart contract for your song (which is fully creator-owned so that your collectors are collecting directly from you). Import to Bonfire
Your track is now all set to go on sale on Sound and you can do the airdrop from P00LS, so what do you need Bonfire for? Bonfire is where you can create a branded experience for your drop, separate from Sounds marketplace.
Navigate to Bonfire Dashboard > Drops > NFT Drops
Click Create NFT Drop
Select Import Drop
Select the chain the drop is created on
Input the smart contract address of the drop created on Sound
Click Import Collection
Fill out your collection details
Description
Secondary Marketplace link (you can come back to this after minting out, so that your fans can buy from this link)
Upload media (choose from visual, audio or video)
click Submit
Optional - Associate rewards with your Drop by clicking Add Rewards - choose from Pages, Content, or Custom rewards
Page will give holders access to gated pages - just click on the pages you’d like to select
Audio will give holders access to gated audio - just click on the audio you’d like to select
Video will give holders access to gated videos - just click on the videos you’d like to select
Custom will give holders access to private links, text or promo codes - just type in the text or choose Promo Code
Optional - Enable Credit Card Checkout by clicking Verify (follow the KYC process. This will require an ID) and toggle on Enable Buy with Card. For more information on Credit Card Checkout, review this FAQ section.
Use the Mint Block and select the drop
Brand the page with images and audio and video
Create on Bonfire (Using Sound Contracts)
From the Home screen go to Drops
Select Create New Drop
Select Create NFT Drop
Enter in all of your song details
Finish the creation process
Use a Mint Block to put your NFT on sale
